Russell James Newberg has created exquisite paper cutting and layering techniques to create decorative works of fine art that are clean, crisp and imaginative. Based in Tucson, Russell is deeply connected to the Sonoran Desert and influenced by Mexican culture. These regional connections inspire his work from horned lizards to sugar skulls.
The “ART” page of this website displays Russell’s exquisite work regardless of whether or not it has been purchased or where it is currently on display. Russell does his best to keep the pages of the individual pieces up to date regarding their availability for purchase whether through this website (visit the “PURCHASE” page) or elsewhere. I am currently partnering with Cafe Botanica at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, The Tucson Museum of Art Store and Hotel McCoy (just south of downtown Tucson), where I have work on display and available for purchase. Please stop by and have a look! If you stay at the Hotel McCoy you can ask to stay in the Russell James Newberg room!
